Mukwood Digital started in 2019 with a simple observation: too many Zambian businesses were being quoted prices for websites that made no sense for their budgets, or handed generic templates with no thought given to how their actual customers behave.

Since then, Mukwood has built websites predominantly on WordPress — not because it’s trendy, but because it’s the platform that consistently makes sense for the businesses being served: fast to build, affordable to maintain, and flexible enough to grow with a business rather than requiring a rebuild every time something changes. Alongside WordPress, the same founder has also built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React — meaning every WordPress recommendation comes from genuine platform comparison, not from only knowing one tool.

In parallel, Mukwood’s founder has also trained as a legal practitioner, currently completing practical legal training with a Lusaka law firm. That might seem unrelated to web design — but it shows up in the work: contracts read properly before they’re signed, client agreements that are actually clear, and a level of precision in how projects are scoped and delivered that comes from working in a field where details genuinely matter.
